Holy Trinity Lutheran School, Edmond, received an LCEF Kaleidoscope Fund Grant. They used the funds to purchase a kiln, kiln furniture kit, slab roller, and a pottery wheel. So far it has been able to service all of their elementary and middle school through art class as well as art club. The students are currently working on pinch pots, coil bowls and sculptures.
Holy Trinity has been learning the proper techniques of clay and the older kids will be learning how to properly load and unload the kiln. Teachers hope to eventually host family night where we can bring families together creating memories with art as well as continue to grow and expand the school's clay knowledge.
Holy Trinity is very thankful to LCEF for providing this wonderful opportunity to bring in an art medium that isn't typically easily accessible.
